Stabilizer Fin Design and Analysis

As a subcontractor to QED Systems, Inc, DEC provided structural design and analysis for a fin stabilizer shape supplied by the US Navy. DEC created the complete structural arrangement for the fin and performed a finite element stress analysis which included hydrostatic loads, ship motion accelerations and shock. DEC also provided complete fabrication and installation drawings for shipyard use.
